ISO 45001 OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Standard, which will replace the OHSAS 18001 Standard, was published in English on March 12-13, 2018. The transformation for ISO 45001:2018, which is expected to have a 3-year transition period as of the publication date, will be made through the OHSAS 18001 system. ISO 45001 is designed to prevent occupational accidents and diseases and to provide safe and healthy working environments. The ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard will provide serious gains in preventing occupational accidents and occupational diseases, which are a great burden on businesses.
The ISO 45001 standard creates a framework for businesses all over the world in terms of reducing workplace risks, increasing employee safety and creating more reliable working conditions, and includes requirements that will reduce the burden on them.
It follows system approaches such as the ISO 9001 quality management system and ISO 14001 Environmental management system, which are accepted all over the world. The main structure of ISO 45001 has been established in accordance with the Annex SL structure, which was put into practice with the latest revisions, and consists of 10 articles.
Integration with other standards has been made easy.
